What is a Home Plus?
With a maximum of twelve residents, a Home Plus is a type of senior care living that is specifically designed to provide a more personalized experience than more traditional senior care living spaces. At The Cottages, you will find a culture of acceptance, compassion, and connection. Our goal is to build trusting relationships with each resident through a safe, healthy, and socially enriching environment.
Our Home Plus is characterized by custom care plans that fit your needs. A resident at The Cottages may require simple services like medication management, meals, housekeeping, and laundry services to more complex services including: diabetic management, bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfer. In some cases, residents may also require short term skilled services such as acute pain management, physical, occupational, or speech therapy. These services are contracted through trusted outside Home Health and Hospice agencies. Either way, your custom plan will ensure you, or your loved one, receive the right kind of care!
The Cottages at Garden City provide a clinically competent and personally caring atmosphere by hiring and training great people who embrace the home-like concept of care. Some of the services that are offered include comprehensive nursing care, meals, housekeeping, laundry, and activities. Expert nursing care is available at all times while residing at The Cottages to ensure the highest quality of care is available just when you need it most. A professional nurse is on call 24/7 when not in the building and a Registered Nurse is available to the staff by phone 24/7.
In addition to excellent care, a primary pillar of importance at The Cottages is to provide a space that feels like home. Each house is approximately 6,700 square-feet and includes twelve large private rooms with individual bathrooms and showers. There is a large open kitchen and dining room area, living room, den/library, laundry, and safe room in each house. A great deal of architectural focus was given to design buildings that aesthetically look and feel like single family homes.
